Peter Shapiro is a partner in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment, Professional Liability, Complex Business & Commercial Litigation, Business Practices, Appellate, and Directors & Officers Coverage & Litigation Practices. Mr. Shapiro’s practice is concentrated in employment and professional liability law, commercial litigation, and appeals in New York and New Jersey. Additionally, Mr. Shapiro has represented defendants in claims of alleged professional malfeasance concerning the design and operation of websites and claims of allegedly deficient software design. Melissa Daugherty has been counseling businesses and defending clients in employment and ADA matters for 17 years.  Ms. Daugherty and her team provide preventative counseling to clients on all aspects of employment and disability access related matters, including training, policy drafting, audits, and evaluating termination decisions. Ms. Daugherty also specializes in employment and access litigation, splitting her time nearly equally between state and federal court and enjoying countless successes through dispositive motions up to hotly contested defense jury verdicts and ultimate achieving successful results on appeal.  When it comes to ADA access cases, there are very few defense attorneys who have successfully handled more cases than Ms. Daugherty and her team.
